Fans of “Will Trent” have reason to celebrate as the series returns, taking audiences deeper into the workings of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations with its fourth season. The show promises to deliver more thrilling cases that keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

In an engaging interview, entertainment reporter Joelle Garguilo caught up with the man behind the titular character, actor Ramon Rodriguez. They discussed everything from his experiences on set to his Puerto Rican heritage and exciting new projects on the horizon.

Interestingly, Garguilo discovered that Rodriguez initially hesitated to take on the role of Will Trent. His candidness revealed a thoughtful approach to choosing parts that resonate with him.

When asked about his initial reluctance, Garguilo inquired, “Did you pass on Will Trent?”

To which Rodriguez responded, “I did. There are so many cop procedural shows, and I wasn’t sure yet how we were going to stand out and make ourselves different. But after multiple conversations, it felt like this was real, with dramatic and humorous stories. So, I took the leap. And I’m really grateful I did.”

Garguilo: What is Will’s storyline going to be that you can tell us about?

Rodriguez: Will unraveling. Deconstructing this character who’s always been sort of put together. He’s going to go through a lot, sadly, but we’re going to have some new romances. We’ll have some old romance.

Garguilo also learned that the new season picks up after a major cliffhanger.

Garguilo: Let’s end with one thing everybody needs to know about season four of “Will Trent.”

Rodriguez: It is going to be the ride of your life, so you’re going to want to tune in.
