A$AP Rocky has opened up about the transformative power of fatherhood, revealing it has softened him in unexpected ways.
In an engaging discussion with W Magazine, the rapper and actor candidly expressed how becoming a parent has connected him more deeply to his emotions.
“I’m much more emotional now,” he admitted. “Before having kids, I might have been a bit cold-hearted. But now, I’m a loving kind of guy. I feel like I have a lot of love to offer the world.”

The 37-year-old artist recently welcomed his third child with singer Rihanna in September—a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, their first girl. The couple also shares two sons, RZA, 3, and Riot, 2.
When asked about the prospect of someone wanting to date his daughter in the future, Rocky kept his response straightforward.
“I’m going to pray for them.”
Rocky has previously discussed how fatherhood has influenced his work. During an appearance on The Run-Through With Vogue last May, he explained that being a present parent now plays a central role in his creative process.
“Being a father is my creative process now because I just embodied it as a whole. I never really had a role model or just an iconic figure,” he said. “And I guess I’m that for people, and I didn’t purposely try to do that, but I take it as a badge of honor.”
He continued, “I’m so flattered and, just being me, that it can inspire people to actually do something that is considered good, being a present, active father.”

In November, Rocky shared his excitement about entering a new chapter as a girl dad. While speaking with Extra, he spoke directly to fellow fathers.
“Yo, I wanna just say this to all the girl dads out there: I’m the newest member of the club, you know what I’m saying? Salute me, and welcome me. It’s a brotherhood, and we gotta stick together out here, you know what I’m saying?”
He added, “Yo, being a girl dad is amazing,” he said. “I mean, check me out. I’m glowing.”
