A fast-moving grassfire on the outskirts of Natimuk, near Horsham in western Victoria, is posing a serious threat to local homes, authorities have warned.
Communities in Arapiles, Duchembegarra, Grass Flat, Mitre, Natimuk, and Tooan have been urged to remain indoors and seek shelter immediately. According to the emergency alert, “You are in danger. Act now to protect yourself. It is too late to leave. The safest option is to take shelter indoors immediately.”
Meanwhile, residents in Haven, Lower Norton, McKenzie Creek, Noradjuha, Pimpinio, Quantong, Vectis, Vectis East, and Vectis South have been advised to evacuate without delay.
For those needing refuge, a relief centre has been established at the Horsham Senior Citizens Centre, located at 17 Roberts Avenue, Horsham.

Another grass fire at Telfers Rd, Grass Flat is out of control, with residents in Haven, Lower Norton, McKenzie Creek, Noradjuha, Pimpinio, Quantong, Vectis, Vectis East, Vectis South advised to leave immediately.
