Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, despite efforts to save him.

According to reports from the area, neighbors heard a heated argument around 4 a.m., just a few hours before law enforcement arrived at the location.

Superintendent Tim Calman said there is no indication that the incident was gang-related.

“The man was known to police but only for a minor matter,” he said.

”No obvious links to organised crime or drug related matters.”

However Calman said it did not appear to be a “random attack”.

At this stage police are searching one person who may be linked to the incident.
