DUARTE, Calif. – In a loss that resonates through Hollywood, seasoned actor T.K. Carter, known for his memorable roles in both film and television, has passed away at the age of 69.

Authorities from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that Carter was found unresponsive in Duarte, California, on Friday evening, leading to the somber confirmation of his death. While the exact cause remains undisclosed, officials have indicated that no foul play is suspected in this tragic event.

Carter’s career spanned decades, with his performance as Nauls, the cook in John Carpenter’s acclaimed horror film “The Thing” in 1982, marking a significant breakthrough. His talent also graced the small screen, particularly in the 1980s sitcom “Punky Brewster,” where he became a familiar face to many.

Beyond these roles, Carter’s versatile acting prowess was showcased in a variety of films including “Runaway Train” released in 1985, the comedy “Ski Patrol” in 1990, and the beloved sports comedy “Space Jam” in 1996. His diverse filmography reflects a rich legacy in the entertainment industry that will be fondly remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
