SAVANNAH, Ga. – Residents of the region will experience a mild start to the day, with temperatures predominantly in the 60s and overcast skies. A cold front is making its way through, which could bring a few light sprinkles early in the morning. However, by mid-morning, the clouds are expected to clear, making way for sunshine in the afternoon, although temperatures will steadily drop throughout the day.

The day’s peak temperature in the 60s will occur in the morning, with the mercury falling to the mid-50s by evening. A brisk breeze will accompany the cold front, with northwest winds blowing at 10 to 15 mph and gusts potentially reaching 30 mph. As the night progresses, winds will calm down, but colder air will settle in, pushing overnight temperatures below freezing.

Expect a chilly start to the new day tomorrow, despite abundant sunshine. Daytime highs will struggle to climb beyond the upper 40s to lower 50s, followed by another frigid night leading into Tuesday morning, with lows likely plummeting into the upper 20s across the area.

Temperatures will see a slight increase on Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs approaching 60 degrees. However, another cold front is anticipated to sweep through from Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, bringing a slight chance of showers and ushering in another round of cooler weather. Thursday’s highs will only reach the upper 40s to lower 50s, and the coldest night of the week is expected from Thursday night into Friday morning, with temperatures dipping into the lower to mid-20s. The cold spell will persist into Friday, with highs again in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
