Katie Ginella reveals that Bravo has decided to ‘move forward’ without her
“Following two seasons on RHOC, the network has opted to proceed with Season 20 without my involvement,” Ginella shared in an Instagram statement. “Although it’s disappointing, it’s not entirely unexpected given how Season 19 unfolded.”
Ginella expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she received, emphasizing that the encouragement was “noticed, felt, and sincerely appreciated.”
“Representation is crucial, and I’m proud to have remained genuine, even during challenging times,” she stated. “While this chapter is ending, my voice and story continue beyond it.”
“Representation matters, and I’m proud to have shown up authentically, even when it wasn’t easy,” she added. “This chapter may be closing, but my voice and my story don’t end there.”
Katie Ginella clashed with several of her ‘RHOC’ castmembers
Ginella joined RHOC in season 18. She did not have an easy time bonding with her fellow castmates, particularly Emily Simpson. The two women clashed after Ginella’s daughter posted disparaging comments about RHOC cast members on Instagram.
Ginella also had conflict with Gretchen Rossi and Jennifer Pedranti after the pair posted a racially insensitive video in which they mocked Asian facial features and performed fake martial arts moves. The video – which was eventually taken down – was “very inappropriate,” Ginella told Page Six.
“It’s brought me back to feeling like how I felt growing up a lot,” she said. “You know, I’m the very first Asian American on Orange County. I’m the very first Korean adoptee. And so being singled out from this cast, it’s all too familiar, the feelings and all that.”
Tamra Judge supports Katie Ginella
One Orange County Housewife who Ginella did get along with was Tamra Judge.
“I love you,” Judge commented on Ginella’s post. “Thankful for our friendship.”
RHOC alum Alexis Bellino, who appeared as a friend in season 18, also had kind words for Ginella.
“You left with fans wanting more of you! Thats the best place to be!” she wrote.
Ginella also received supportive comments from cast members from other Bravo shows.
RHONJ star Melissa Gorga reacted with two crying emojis.
“Travesty. I’m so sorry babe! Love you!” wrote The Valley’s Zack Wickham.
“I am so sad to hear,” commented RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport.
Bravo has not announced a premiere date or cast for RHOC Season 20. However, OG Housewife Vicki Gunvalson will return, Andy Cohen announced at BravoCon 2025.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is streaming on Peacock.
