LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A bomb threat led to Lake Minneola High School being placed on lockdown Monday, following a tip-off to authorities, as stated by Lake County Schools.
Deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office are actively patrolling and examining the school’s premises in response to the threat.
At around 10 a.m., the district communicated that entry to the school is “temporarily restricted” and that parents are being informed of the situation.
Details remain scarce, and the investigation continues as authorities work to uncover more information.
In a related incident last week, Lake Brantley High School and Forest City Elementary in Seminole County were subjected to a Code Red lockdown due to another potential threat, which was later deemed a “hoax” by law enforcement.
