Last night’s Golden Globes red carpet was a dazzling homage to the allure of Old Hollywood as top celebrities embraced the vintage glamour of yesteryears.
The stars clearly drew inspiration from the iconic vixens of the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, as noted by celebrity stylist Rochelle White.
Feathers, glitter, and perfectly gelled curls graced Beverly Hills on Sunday, invoking memories of legendary figures such as Grace Kelly, Rita Hayworth, and Ava Gardner.
“There was a genuine tribute to cinematic glamour,” said the fashion expert. “I noticed a focus on sculpted waists, draped satin, classic Hollywood necklines, and elegant gloves, all celebrating the feminine form.”
“The visual storytelling truly captured the essence of classic Hollywood,” she added.
Rochelle added that the opulent red carpet turnout could signal a new fashion cycle – one ‘where clothes are allowed to be beautiful, dramatic and eye-catching again’.
‘Whether younger consumers or older demographics, anything referencing Marilyn Monroe or Elizabeth Taylor really taps into the relevance they have had all these years,’ she shared.
‘It brings back a sense of glamour that maybe was once lost.’
Here, the Daily Mail takes a look at the vintage looks channelled by the starlets of today…
Amanda Seyfried
Amanda Seyfried, 40, took fans right back to the 1950s with her angelic ensemble from Versace as she attended the awards
Adding even more to the similarities was Amanda’s short blonde bob, which was styled in Old Hollywood waves – a look Grace Kelly was also known to be fond of
Amanda Seyfried, 40, took fans right back to the 1950s with her angelic ensemble from Versace as she attended the awards, being nominated for both her performances in The Testament of Ann Lee and Long Bright River.
Her shoulderless gown, which was adorned with Tiffany diamonds, appeared to take inspiration from actress Grace Kelly, in particular a ruched white off-the-shoulder frock of hers from 1954.

The silhouette however harked back to a 1956 dress worn by Welsh singer Shirley Bassey. While it wasn’t sheer, it highlighted the star’s curves and added extra glitz with a fur hemline.
And much like Shirley, Jennifer pulled her hair up and back for the event, accentuating her look even more.
Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner dazzled in a metallic corset Ashi Studio gown and accessorised with more than 100 carats of custom Lorraine Schwartz glitz for the event last night, as she joined her date Timothee Chalamet

Jennifer Lawrence turned heads – and raised eyebrows – at the 2026 Golden Globes in a daring ’naked dress’ look.
The 35-year-old actress stepped out in Los Angeles wearing a barely-there, sheer gown that quickly became the talk of the night.
Designed by Givenchy’s Sarah Burton, the see-through dress was embroidered with delicate pink, ivory and green flowers, leaving little to the imagination.
While the Golden Age wasn’t quite as experimental, her look channelled a floral lace dress worn by Rita Hayworth in 1942, accentuated by a sheer halterneck bodice.
It is understood to have been made by Irene Lentz, the head of costume at Columbia Pictures at the time.
