Angel Massie recently responded to Monique Samuels’ comments about her marriage to Bobby Massie, drawing parallels to Monique’s previous relationship with her ex-husband, Chris Samuels. This conversation unfolded during Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.

During the episode, Angel also revealed how she sought revenge on Gizelle Bryant, 55, and discussed how Ashley Darby, 37, has successfully purchased a new home. Additionally, Ashley shared her thoughts on the water issues at her Colorado rental, which left the Real Housewives of Potomac cast without water. Angel further addressed Wendy Osefo‘s arrest and explained her decision not to contact the real estate agent who made allegations against her.
Reflecting on Monique’s comparison of their marriages, Angel expressed her surprise on the January 11 episode of WWHL. “I was taken aback because Monique and I share a good relationship,” Angel noted. “It felt like a bit of projection since the only thing our husbands have in common is their past as football players. Beyond that, there are no similarities.”
When questioned about whether assigning Gizelle and Ashley to a shared room during their Colorado trip was an act of revenge, Angel candidly replied, “Absolutely.”
When Angel was asked if putting Gizelle and Ashley in a shared room during their Colorado trip was revenge, she said, “Absolutely.”
“It was revenge. You see these ladies give me hell all season long, and I take it on the chin because I’m trying to be friends, but it was time for a little get back,” she reasoned.
As for where she’s living today, Angel said that while she and Bobby did purchase a new home, they are still going back and forth to Colorado.
“We did close on our Potomac home. But we are right now in Colorado. We’re doing a few things with Wanderland. But we’ll be back to the DMV, where I’m from,” she confirmed.
Angel then explained that she and Bobby found another rental home in the Potomac area, but noted that it wasn’t seen on the show.
“I’m at Monique’s binder party, which happened after that, so you just didn’t get to see it,” she revealed.
Looking back at the lack of water at the rental in which she housed certain members of the cast amid their trip, Angel said she felt “very bad.”
“That, of course, was not on purpose. Someone was sent over there the night of the party that I threw at my home, assured me that everything was okay. And unfortunately, sometimes these rental homes in Colorado, because they are in the mountains, they do have to be on well water, and sometimes, when it’s not utilized on a consistent basis, things like this happen. It’s spotty. Sand gets caught up; it’s just the natural way of things,” she shared. “So that was unfortunate. Would never want the ladies to be uncomfortable in that way.”
Still, Angel insisted that she “never for a second” felt that everyone should’ve stayed at her home.
“My kids and my husband were there, and originally, the trip was going to be a couples trip, but not enough of the ladies had a couple to be in, and so plans changed a few times, and at the last minute, [and] Colorado, it was in the high season and homes are taken up, unfortunately, so had plans gone originally, we probably all would’ve been in the same spot,” she explained.
When asked if she was ever worried that splitting the group would impact the vibe, Angel said she felt like there were enough daytime activities that it shouldn’t have been an issue.
“We had so many wonderful things to do during the day that we could use that as a bonding opportunity and then have a good sleep … I, personally, on a group trip, love to bond, love to have a good time during the day, and then I love to reset at night, so it was really just trying to be thoughtful,” she stated.
Regarding why the cast needed to leave her home at 7:30, Angel suggested she was doing them a favor.
“Dinner was over. They had had a long flight from the East Coast. They’re adjusting to the altitude, and I was really just being considerate,” she shared.
Reacting to Wendy’s arrest, Angel said she “didn’t want her to be arrested.”
“I don’t wish that on any enemy. I’m not that type of person, and I’m looking forward to her getting her day in court,” she said.
Moving on to Keiarna Stewart‘s lack of an engagement to Greg Diggs, Angel said, “I think that they trust each other, and the right time will come.”
Overall, Angel said that while she did enjoy some friendships with her castmates, she didn’t feel like she was able to get to know the women on a deeper level.
“They don’t want to be deep,” she reasoned. “They want to be messy, and so I really enjoyed my relationship with [Stacey Rusch]. I wish I could’ve gotten to spend more time with her, but I enjoyed getting to know her and [Tia Glover] and of course running it back with my girl Kay.”
Also on the live broadcast, Angel explained why she didn’t want to call the agent to clear the air.
“I didn’t believe Wendy. That’s why,” she replied. “I have known said agent longer than Wendy did. And I actually did call her once everything was settled, and she said she never had that conversation with Wendy. She actually said she never even spoke to Wendy. Any good agent wouldn’t talk about their clients’ business dealings anyway, so I don’t know what agent she spoke, I don’t know which agent she spoke to, but it certainly wasn’t one I’ve ever worked with.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Angel was asked if Gizelle ever apologized privately for the comments she made in regard to her over-filtered photos.
“She absolutely did not,” Angel confirmed. “She apologized on the show, but then she went behind my back immediately and talked crap, so that kind of canceled the apology out in my opinion. [But] I don’t need her apology.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
