Nikki Glaser took center stage as the host of the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, delivering a series of witty jabs at some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, with Leonardo DiCaprio among her targets.
During her monologue, Glaser humorously highlighted DiCaprio’s impressive career milestones, quipping that he achieved all those successes “before your girlfriend turned 30.” The actor’s current girlfriend, model Vittoria Ceretti, is 27 years old. The couple, who began dating in 2023, attended the event separately, as Ceretti was absent from the ceremony.
Glaser didn’t stop there, playfully commenting on DiCaprio’s notoriously private nature. She teased that the most revealing interview the Titanic star had ever participated in was with Teen Beat Magazine back in 1991. Her banter included a lighthearted question about pasta, sparking a flurry of online searches from curious fans eager to uncover the reference.

Behavioral expert Darren Stanton, known for his background in psychology and past work as a police officer, weighed in on DiCaprio’s reaction to Glaser’s jokes. Stanton, often dubbed the “Human Lie Detector,” observed that the Oscar-winning actor took the ribbing in stride, sharing laughs with fellow attendees.
Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. Stanton later moved into media and TV as a consultant and earned the title “Human Lie Detector.”
He analyzed DiCaprio’s demeanor after Glaser joked about him and pointed out how the Oscar winner was seen joking around himself with fellow attendees.
Speaking on behalf of Covers, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “The viral clip featuring Leo is quite telling. While we know he has a good sense of humour, he appears to be mimicking someone or trying to make others laugh by behaving in an exaggerated manner.
“We often see Leo being quite serious and professional, so this definitely shows a different side of him. The clip proves that he’s relaxed, willing to joke around, and not take himself too seriously, even though he’s aware the camera is recording.”

As for the pasta joke, Glaser directed people to check out the decades-old Teen Beat Magazine interview she referenced.
“Look it up, that’s real!” she said for everyone watching the awards show, and many were up for the challenge.
Once they found it, the questionnaire DiCaprio filled out about his favorite things began popping up all over social media.
It then made sense why Glaser asked, “Is your favorite food still ‘pasta, pasta, and more pasta?’” to which he mouthed the word “Yes!” while giving her a big thumbs up.
And yes, DiCaprio really did list “pasta, pasta, and more pasta” as his favorite foods.
Back in 1991, the since-closed publication Teen Beat ran a Q&A-style interview with a then-17-year-old DiCaprio. He shared that his favorite book at the time was Lord of the Flies, his favorite movies were Parenthood and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, his favorite actor is Jack Nicholson, his favorite actress is Meg Ryan, and yes, his favorite food is “pasta, pasta, and more pasta.”
