Ann Michael Maye, the spouse of New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, has had her fill of the endless social media chatter—particularly when it involves attacks on Gisele Bündchen. Ann voiced her frustration during a conversation with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, which was shared on social media this past Monday, January 12. “It’s always ‘Gisele could never, Gisele would never,'” she remarked, adding, “She’s pretty good, guys. It’s okay.”
The parallels drawn between Ann, 22, and Bündchen, 45, are somewhat inevitable among Patriots supporters. As Drake, 23, steps into the formidable legacy left by the legendary Tom Brady, who secured six Super Bowl victories with the team, comparisons abound.
Tom Brady’s relationship with Gisele Bündchen began in 2006, leading to a marriage that lasted from 2009 to 2022—spanning almost the entirety of Brady’s career with the Patriots. Together, they have two children: Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13. Brady also co-parents his son Jack, 8, with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan.
Even as Tom Brady’s Netflix roast has concluded, the former NFL quarterback remains a target for comedic jabs. Recently, he endured additional ribbing from former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe. Reflecting on a past skiing trip in Montana, Bledsoe didn’t hold back, keeping the playful spirit alive long after the official roast had ended.
Bündchen was a fan-favorite during their marriage, though many have turned on her since the two divorced.
Ann’s comment came in the premiere of her new TikTok series, Beyond Bakemas. It’s an extension of her 2025 Bakemas series in which she baked a different holiday treat for 25 days leading up to Christmas.

She teased the upcoming show in a video posted via NBC Sports Boston’s Instagram channel on Thursday, January 8.
“I’m here in the kitchen at NBC Sports Boston. Just finished filming my baking show, ‘Beyond Bakemas,’” Ann said in the video. “I’m so excited for you guys all to see it, so be sure to stay tuned in.”
The next day, she added a preview of her episode with Portnoy, 48, showing the unabashed New England sports fan at work in the kitchen with Ann by his side. He wore a t-shirt in the pattern of an ugly Christmas sweater with the text “Merry Bakemas” and an image of Ann below.
“It takes a lot to get me on a plane to be like, ‘I got to do this,’ Portnoy says in the video. “Like, alright Ann Michael, let’s go bake.”
Drake came to New England as the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and since then fans have embraced the couple. Though her comments include plenty of hate for Bündchen, there are far more fans who continue to pump her up.
“They’re great. Everybody’s got to give them a scroll,” Ann said. “They’re so funny….No one’s mean… It’s always like, ‘Tuck my husband, tuck our husband into bed tonight.’ Alright, guys, I am!”
Drake and Ann have been together since at least January 2020, when the two first appeared together on Instagram. The quarterback proposed in January 2025 and the pair went on to say “I do” in June.
“What a night! Cheers to forever🥂I love you!” Drake wrote via Instagram at the time, sharing a carousel of photos from the wedding ceremony.
With the 2025 NFL Playoffs underway, Ann has stayed by her husband’s side as he pursues the Patriots’ first Super Bowl title of the post-Brady era. After New England defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, 16-3, in the Wild Card round on Sunday, January 11, she posed for photos on the Gillette Stadium field alongside other Patriots WAGs.
“See you next week!!!!!❤️❤️❤️,” she captioned the photos, referring to New England’s Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans on Sunday, January 18.
