Judge Theresa R. McGonigle currently serves on the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, a position she has held since October 2018. Her appointment to the bench was made by California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr., a Democrat, following the promotion of Judge Dorothy C. Kim to the Court of Appeal. McGonigle’s path to this prominent role is a testament to her dedication and expertise within the legal field.
