Vanderpump Rules star Venus Binkley has voiced her concern over the turbulent relationship between fellow cast members Marcus Johnson and Kim Suarez. According to Venus, the duo’s frequent breakups suggest a rocky future. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Tuesday, January 13, Venus candidly expressed her doubts, stating, “A couple that breaks up every week is not a couple that is ever going to last.”
The latest season of the Bravo reality series, which introduces a fresh ensemble of SUR employees, has put a spotlight on Marcus and Kim’s tumultuous romance. Throughout season 12, Venus has openly pondered whether the pair should continue their on-again, off-again relationship.
Recent episodes have shown Venus taken aback by Marcus and Kim’s reactions to what she describes as her straightforward and honest opinions. The dynamic between the couple has certainly stirred discussions among the cast, adding a layer of drama to the show’s new season.
As the revamped cast of Vanderpump Rules season 12 dive into their roles, they bring fresh energy and drama to the table. Alongside Venus, the lineup features Jason Cohen, Shayne Davis, Chris Hahn, Angelica Jensen, Audrey Lingle, Natalie Maguire, Demy Selem, and of course, Marcus Johnson and Kim Suarez. Their first official interviews as Bravolebrities have already set the stage for an intriguing season filled with personal and professional challenges.
“I guess watching Marcus and Kim be like, ‘Venus is coming for my relationship.’ I’m like, ‘I’m not coming for your relationship,’” Venus explained to Us. “I’m just stating facts of how you’re making me feel.”
Kim has previously told Us that her romance with Marcus is “misunderstood.”
Although Marcus and Venus started the season off as close friends, things have taken a turn with the pair feuding on screen.
As viewers continue to watch emotional conversations play out between the two, Venus can’t help but admit that he misses the bond they once had.

“I do miss the friendship that I had with him when we first became friends, before filming and everything, because we just kind of banter and go back and forth,” he shared. “I love how he misbehaves. I just hate it when it involves me, or when it’s kind of hard to watch. When he’s fighting with Kim, it’s just unnecessary or disrespectful.”
During a recent episode of Vanderpump Rules, Marcus reflected on his evolving relationship with Venus.
“Once me and Venus fell out, I 100 percent went to everyone at SUR and told them everything Venus has ever said about them,” he said in a confessional interview. “Once I realized it’s f*** me? Brother, it is definitely f*** you.”
To this day, Venus said he has empathy for Marcus losing both of his parents and Kim’s emotional side. When watching the show back, however, Venus said it’s hard to picture a future where the trio is as strong as they once were.
“I actually, genuinely, genuinely love them. It’s hard for me not to when I’m constantly around them, and they’re always coming to me,” he shared. “But I think now that ship has sailed where they have their relationship with me, and it’s gonna always be separate. I’ll never be in the middle of that ever again.”
For the record, Venus said he will no longer be spilling any tea to Marcus at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant. After everything he’s been through with his coworker, some things may just need to be kept private.
“I’m not gonna be telling Marcus any of my secrets or any of my feelings towards people,” Venus said. “There’s a certain boundary that I have with what kind of friend I can have out of him, and that’s it.”
Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. Stream new episodes the next day on Peacock.
