The reality television world is mourning the loss of Big Brother season 27 contestant, Mickey Lee, who tragically passed away on Christmas Day 2025 at the age of 35. Her family confirmed the heartbreaking news through an emotional Instagram post on December 26, 2025.

“Mickey endeared herself to audiences nationwide during her time on Big Brother, where her genuine nature, resilience, and vibrant spirit made a lasting impact on both fans and her fellow contestants,” the family wrote. “She will forever be cherished for the happiness she spread and the sincere connections she fostered both on the show and in her personal life.”

Lee’s untimely death followed a severe health emergency. A GoFundMe campaign, initiated on December 23, 2025—just two days before her demise—revealed that the beloved reality star had suffered multiple cardiac arrests and was receiving treatment in an intensive care unit.

“Mickey has recently experienced a series of cardiac arrests and is currently in the ICU, in a critical but stable condition,” the GoFundMe page stated at the time. “Surrounded by medical experts and loved ones, she faces a daunting path ahead. This unexpected health crisis has placed a significant emotional and financial burden on Mickey and her family, including overwhelming hospital expenses and the costs associated with ongoing care and recovery.”

The fundraising effort was launched to assist with “medical expenses not covered by insurance, comprehensive ICU and specialist care, rehabilitation and recovery support, as well as family travel, lodging, and other related expenses.”

Lee’s family also shared that the cardiac arrests stemmed from complications related to the flu. Though the reality star was known for her vibrant personality and active lifestyle, the sudden nature of her health crisis came as a shock to those who knew her.
