LADY LAKE, Fla. – Authorities in Lady Lake are actively searching for a 12-year-old girl who went missing on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Residents are being cautioned to keep their distance from the girl.
On Wednesday evening, officials announced a significant law enforcement presence in the vicinity of Curve Court and Precedent Parkway.
The sheriff’s office release detailed that officers are on the lookout for a young white female, aged 12, with red hair of medium length.
The missing child is described as standing 4 feet, 11 inches tall, with a weight of approximately 111 pounds. She was last observed wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, and white-and-black Crocs.
The statement also warned, “PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH THE JUVENILE, AS SHE IS CONSIDERED ARMED.”
