ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A peculiar scene unfolded in Orange County on Wednesday when a Corvette was discovered partially submerged in what appeared to be a retention pond. The incident prompted a response from both Orlando and Orange County firefighters, who quickly arrived at the location to investigate.
The Orlando Fire Department took to social media to share images capturing a diver methodically inspecting the vehicle. The submerged Corvette was found near the intersection of state roads 417 and 528, according to the department’s post.
Firefighters from Orlando, in collaboration with divers from the Orange County Fire Rescue, responded promptly after the Corvette was spotted in the water. Thankfully, an inspection confirmed that no individuals were inside the vehicle or in the surrounding waters, as stated in the department’s social media update.
As of now, the circumstances surrounding how the Corvette ended up in the pond remain unclear, with further information yet to be released.
