Gemma Gregory, known for her stint on Made In Chelsea, recently marked a year of romance with Jesse Wood, just before his financial struggles came to light.

The Daily Mail disclosed that Jesse, who is the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and former spouse of Fearne Cotton, revealed he has been jobless and surviving on a modest income of around £1,000 monthly after his marriage ended. This revelation came during a court appearance for a speeding offense.

Earlier in the month, Gemma, 40, shared a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating her and 49-year-old Jesse’s first year together.

She shared a slew of snaps including a naked photo of the hunky musician in the bath, alongside the caption: ‘Winter loving,’

“Here’s to a year filled with love, sobriety, and personal growth,” she wrote.

Despite his father’s substantial £100 million fortune and his own residence in a £3 million Richmond townhouse, Jesse found himself at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court for driving 27mph in a 20mph zone in West London last April.

Daily Mail reported on Thursday how the ex-husband of Fearne Cotton, who is also the son of Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood, 49, said he had been unemployed and living on £1,000 a month

Facing a possible driving ban, it emerged that since his split from TV’s Fearne 13 months ago, with whom he share son Rex, 12, and daughter Honey, nine, he has struggled to find paid work and is now living off savings.

London-born actress and model Gemma – who has an eleven-year-old son, Benji, from a previous relationship – starred in Made in Chelsea in 2011 and 2012, and played young Estella in the 1999 adaptation of Great Expectations.

She’s also built a following online for her lifestyle content and motivational posts about love, healing and gratitude.

The couple first went public in April when Gemma posted a sunny snap of Jesse hugging her tightly with the caption: ‘Bloody love this one’. 

Insiders said at the time that their relationship progressed quickly following the shock collapse of Jesse’s decade-long marriage in December 2024. 

It came just weeks after photos of Fearne kissing her new boyfriend, TV director Elliot Hegarty, emerged. 

A source told Daily Mail last year: ‘It’s getting serious now. Jesse and Gemma are spending loads of time together and things are clearly going well,

‘He’s been through a rough patch emotionally, but Gemma’s really lifted him. They’ve got chemistry and a lot in common – she makes him laugh, and he feels relaxed around her. It’s definitely more than a fling.’

Gemma’s time on E4’s Made in Chelsea featured her partying hard before abruptly leaving the show then returning the next season ‘sober’ having spent time at a spa retreat.

And in 2013 it was claimed by an insider on the show that she was a ‘nightmare to work with’, turned up late for filming and went against what producers asked of her.

Gemma only appeared in a few episodes during series two and three of the show – when the likes of original cast members Spencer Matthews, Caggie Dunlop and Jamie Laing led the main storylines.

In court Jesse, who also shares two children from a previous relationship,  gave JPs an extraordinary insight into his recent struggles to be solvent and find paid work.

Representing himself he told the court: ‘I was due to be employed in 2024 but it got delayed. At the moment I’m living off my savings and I am looking to get employment.’

Asked about his income as recorded on his last year’s tax returns, he continued: ‘Yes. It was very low at around £14,000.’

Jesse also apologised to the court for having driven 7mph above the limit on the A4 Cromwell Road when he was caught for the fourth time.

He added: ‘I would like to say I accept responsibility for what I have done.’

Prosecutor Geraldine Dickinson earlier told the court: ‘This was at 12.45pm in the afternoon on April 7 last year. He used his vehicle on the A4 Cromwell Road which was subject to a 20mph speed restriction.

‘The speed recorded when the vehicle activated the safety camera was 27mph.’

The court was told Jesse already had nine points for similar speeding offences recorded in the year prior to the Cromwell Road incident – in June 2024, September 2024 and August 2025.

Jesse formally pleaded guilty to his latest offence of exceeding a 20mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order.

Despite his plea of relative penury, Wood was hit with a six-month driving ban as he received three more penalty points.

This automatically triggered an automatic month ban for a minimum of that period -and he was additionally told to pay £255 in fines and costs.

Sentencing Magistrate Richard Sanden explained to him: ‘Because you pleaded guilty you get one third off the fine.

‘It would have been £134. That has been reduced to 89. You will also pay a surchage of £36 and a contribution towards court costs of £130.’

Jesse has not spoken publicly about his split from the presenter in December 2024 but Fearne discussed it during an appearance on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV show: ‘It’s all very amicable and the kids are doing great. I am in a very good place’.

Jesse followed in his dad’s career path but with less financial success – he is a sometime guitarist for rock band Reef.
