The curtain has officially fallen on the second season of Paramount+’s runaway hit, Landman. We’ll steer clear of spoilers, but suffice it to say, after the riveting finale of Season 2—titled “Tragedy and Flies”—anticipation is already mounting for what Taylor Sheridan has up his sleeve for Season 3.
For those seeking to fill the void left by Landman, there are a few noteworthy series that might just catch your interest. Graham Yost’s celebrated neo-Western Justified is a great place to start and can be streamed on Hulu. If a crime thriller is more your speed, Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King on Paramount+ offers a gripping ride. Additionally, Dark Winds is available on AMC+ and Netflix, while Goliath and Sneaky Pete are ready for viewing on Prime Video and Netflix respectively.
But what lies ahead for Landman? Has it been confirmed for another round of West Texas oilfield drama? Here’s the scoop: the series has indeed been renewed, with Paramount giving the green light for a third season in December 2025.
How Many Episodes Are There of Landman Season 2?
The second season of Landman delivered a thrilling ten episodes, leaving fans eager for more. With its renewal, viewers can look forward to diving back into the high-stakes world created by Sheridan, where drama and tension run as deep as the oil wells.
Will There Be a Season 3 of Landman on Paramount+?
Yes! In December 2025, Paramount renewed Landman for a third season.
When Will Landman Season 3 Be on Paramount+?
No official release date has been announced, but shooting on Season 3 is rumored to begin in April or May of 2026.
The first season of Landman debuted on Paramount+ in November 2024, with the second season premiering in November 2025. Normally, I’d predict a November/December 2026 release date, and that definitely could happen, but Landman creator Taylor Sheridan has a lot on his plate. He has two new shows premiering in March — The Madison on Paramount+ (March 14) and Marshalls on CBS (March 1) — as well as the hotly anticipated Kelly Reilly/Cole Hauser Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch, Samuel L. Jackson-led Nola King, Lioness Season 3, 1944, Tulsa King Season 4, and Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 in various stages of production.
Is November/December 2026 a possibility for Landman Season 3? Absolutely. But considering Sheridan’s busy schedule, a delay is possible. Sadly, it’s too early to tell, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
