One-Punch Man, once hailed for its groundbreaking animation quality, has now ironically earned the nickname “One Frame Man.” Following the disappointing reception of Season 3, Part 1, fans are understandably wary about the release of the next chapter. While expectations have undeniably shifted, there remains a glimmer of hope that Season 3, Part 2 might redeem the series.

Despite the skepticism, One-Punch Man still has an opportunity to regain its former glory, particularly with the ongoing Monster Association Arc. The potential for a comeback hinges on whether the production committee guiding J.C. Staff can make the necessary adjustments to meet fans’ expectations.

Season 3, Part 1 wrapped up its run in December 2025, leaving many viewers disillusioned. Yet, almost immediately, plans for Season 3, Part 2 were announced, aiming for a 2027 release. Unfortunately, the anticipation that once surrounded new episodes has largely dissipated among the fanbase.

One-Punch Man Season 3, Part 1 finished airing in December 2025, leaving fans with a scarring experience. Season 3, Part 2 of the anime was almost immediately announced, and it will be coming in 2027. Unfortunately, fans are no longer looking forward to the upcoming installment.

After the impossible standard set by Season 1, with its bold and fluid animation, and meticulous direction, Season 3 of the anime fell extremely short of expectations. Since Season 3, Part 1 was released after a wait of six long years, the betrayal feels especially sharp. Thus, fans have now begun to judge Season 3, Part 2 through a negative lens, before it has even begun airing.

One-Punch Man Season 3, Part 2 is set to animate the most important parts of the Monster Association Arc. This demands better animation technique, choreography, character design, and more. Rushing through this complex process is what caused the blunder with Season 3, Part 1 in the first place. Fans are scared that Season 3, Part 2 might face the same treatment, resulting in another forgettable batch of episodes.

Only One Thing Can Save One Punch Man Season 3, Part 2

With its last two seasons, One-Punch Man has proved that it is susceptible to a rushed schedule. The reality of the anime industry is that studios are faced with tighter deadlines, smaller budgets, and other issues. Thus, when the quality of an anime inevitably dips, the animators and studios are blamed instantly, when the real problem is the lack of time.

One-Punch Man is the kind of series whose entire identity is built on its flawless animation. Saitama’s strength is only funny when the heroes have already tried their best in over-the-top battles. So when the anime is rushed to be released, the entire plot falls flat in the absence of dramatic visuals and action scenes.

The best way to improve the series is to just give it the appropriate time that it needs to flourish. This is easier said than done, due to the immense pressure on anime studios, but it is still the only way to restore One-Punch Man’s original identity. The Monster Association Arc is an extremely ambitious one and demands proper schedule and care, the lack of which will only make Season 3, Part 2 another slideshow.

A Delayed Anime Hit Is Better Than a Rushed Failure

Nowadays, popular anime return with new seasons every year, and it seems like this has become an expected pattern for every series. However, fans are ready to forgive a longer waiting period if it means the resulting anime will be brilliant. When it comes to One-Punch Man, a delayed but well-produced season would be more welcome than one that was rushed and delivered a disappointing run. Hopefully, the 2027 deadline for Season 3, Part 2, will not create misfires.

While some social media discourse might make it look like fans are demanding perfection out of One-Punch Man, in reality, fans just want the anime to look like it was made with care. Fans expect the source material to be treated respectfully and with consistent effort. From inconsistent animation, still frames, and oversimplified designs to jerky movements and animation shortcuts, there’s ample proof of the negligence towards the series on display.

One-Punch Man Season 3, Part 2’s animation does not have to match the levels of Season 1, or become the next Demon Slayer, but it at least should look like something the creators are proud of making. It is only time that enables the creators behind the anime to work to their fullest extent. One-Punch Man needs freedom from the unrealistic deadlines being made of J.C. Staff by their corporate production committee if the anime ever expects to rise back to its celebrated status. There is still time to reclaim the fanbase, who are waiting with bated breath for their favorite anime to be treated right.
