Akinnaanu succumbed to a severe leg condition on January 12, following a prolonged battle that had garnered significant attention and prayers from fans and the gospel music community. In the months leading up to her death, she had openly requested prayers and healing from her supporters as she fought the illness.
Fellow gospel artist Alayo Melody took to Instagram on Friday to reveal the details of the burial arrangements by sharing a flier that outlines the planned events.
According to the schedule, the memorial activities will begin on Tuesday, January 20, with a service of songs at the LTV 8 Ground in Ikeja, Lagos. The service will be followed by a candlelight procession at 7 p.m. and a tribute and artistes’ night starting at 8 p.m. on the same day.
