Decatur firefighters extinguish vacant house fire; officials investigating

DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — Authorities are currently probing a “suspicious” blaze that erupted late Saturday night in Decatur.

The Decatur Fire Department was dispatched to the 3600 block of East William Street Road at approximately 11 p.m. following reports of a house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered significant smoke and visible flames within the residence.
