Glambot director Cole Walliser has addressed rumors suggesting that Jennifer Lopez acted “rudely” during her Golden Globes 2026 shoot.
In a video shared on Instagram on Sunday, the Canadian director clarified, “I didn’t see it as rude at the time.” He did, however, admit that “a few factors contributed to this perception.”
Walliser elaborated, “She means business. The red carpet was closing, and she was prepared to head inside. She knew exactly what she wanted to do and got into her pose right away.”
He mentioned it was “simply unfortunate” that Lopez, aged 56, appeared to be “looking away” from him in the popular clip.
“So while I was speaking to her, she was turned away, but it was because she was getting ready for her move,” he explained.
“In the moment, I’m not like, ‘Hey, turn around and look,’” the content creator clarified. “I knew what she was doing.”
Walliser added that the “Selena” actress was simply preparing for her Glambot moment.
“I knew she was getting ready. I knew it was late. We were just getting through it. That moment didn’t feel rude,” he insisted.
Last week, Walliser shared Lopez’s Glambot video via Instagram, which showed “I’m Real” singer with her back turned at the director as he instructed her on how to get into position.
When Walliser asked the “Hustlers” star if she had an idea of a move she wanted to do, she didn’t verbally reply and simply turned around to show him how she would pose.
“Slayed it, as usual,” Walliser told Lopez as she finished up. The pop star, who stunned in a see-through Jean-Louis Scherrer by Stephane Rolland gown, then gave him a little wave and continued to walk down the red carpet with her team.
“The Queen JLO!! She walked the carpet so close to it closing (it might have technically been closed at that point), so I was happy she was able to quickly stop. No messing around — just wham, bam, thank you, GLAM!” Walliser captioned the post.
Several fans flooded Walliser’s comments section, calling out Lopez for how she behaved towards the Glambot director.
“my favorite part was when she didn’t look at, speak to, or smile at you,” wrote one user, with another asking, “Jesus Cole, did Jlo even speak a word to you?”
“This doesn’t help her reputation of being rude lol,” commented a third netizen.
“Glad I’m not the only one that didn’t like this attitude 🙄 Just skip her next time,” wrote a fourth person.
Page Six reached out to Lopez’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
