In a surprising turn of events, Nicola Peltz Beckham and Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding faced unexpected drama, as their first dance hit an unanticipated snag, leaving many puzzled about what really happened.

According to a source who spoke with E! News in May 2025, the couple had anticipated a special first dance gifted by singer Marc Anthony. However, Anthony took the stage and instead declared, “Please welcome to the stage the most beautiful woman in the room—Victoria Beckham.” This left Brooklyn in an awkward position, unsure how to react.

The source added that Nicola exited the room in tears but returned later, having composed herself enough to continue celebrating her wedding day.

While the incident didn’t seem to create a lasting rift with Brooklyn’s family—David Beckham served as best man at Marc Anthony’s wedding to Nadia Ferreira in January 2023—the situation understandably left a more significant impact on Nicola.

Brooklyn and Nicola “have made good faith efforts over the years” to have a relationship with his family, the source said, but at this time things aren’t good.
