Once central figures on the reality TV series Vanderpump Rules, Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval captivated audiences with their intertwined lives. The show, which offers a glimpse into the lives of employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants, introduced Ariana as she embarked on a nearly nine-year romance with Tom.

Their relationship became a focal point of the series, offering fans an intimate look at their journey together. The couple even took a significant step by purchasing a home, which featured prominently in several seasons of the show. However, their seemingly solid relationship took a tumultuous turn when Ariana uncovered Tom’s infidelity with another cast member, igniting a contentious dispute over their shared Los Angeles residence.

This property battle has lingered for over two years, dating back to their split in 2023. According to People magazine, the conflict over the home has finally reached a settlement. Yet, despite this resolution, it seems unlikely that Tom and Ariana can completely close this chapter of their lives.

A Settlement For The Home Has Been Reached

The dispute over the property has apparently been going on for over two years, stretching back to Tom and Ariana’s initial split in 2023. As reported by People, the battle for the home has apparently ended in a settlement—but that’s not to say that Tom and Ariana are able to put things completely behind them.

It seems that Ariana’s legal team filed a “notice of settlement” on Tuesday, January 13th. The document, while it didn’t disclose the actual details of the agreement, did share that Ariana’s complaint against Tom was being dismissed, as a “satisfactory completion of specified terms” had been reached.

The outlet also reports that the former spouses will have to face each other at least once more. Tom and Ariana are slated to make an in-court appearance on Thursday, February 5th to settle things once and for all. However, if for some reason a settlement cannot be reached then, they’ll be looking at the case going to trial later in the month.

The settlement over the house has certainly been a long time coming. It was Ariana who originally filed the complaint against Tom, requesting that a legal mediator create a partition by sale, meaning that the home would be sold and that she and Tom would subsequently split the profits.

Ariana confessed that she felt like, though she was the home’s owner, she looked forward to washing her hands of it and all it represented:

I own the house. I felt like it was the last thing, and I’m just really motivated to be able to get my investment that I made into the house out so that I can make another investment and be able to fully move on from being tied to that.

In response to Ariana’s request, Tom apparently fired back in his own way, saying that his former wife didn’t have “sufficient facts” to warrant that kind of partition of their shared home. As of this article’s writing, the specific details of how the property will be divided remain unknown.

Ariana Is Ready To Move On

After multiple years of messy legal matters, what is clear is that Ariana is ready to turn over a new leaf. On top of splitting from her husband, she’s also gone on to make some major career milestones. For one thing, she’s bolstered her reality TV resume quite a bit, appearing as a host on Love Island, and even making a stint on Broadway, appearing in the musical Chicago.

Ariana divulged that she was ready to embrace the next chapter of her life. In the aforementioned conversation with the outlet, she noted that she was not only comfortable with selling the home she shared with Tom, but that she looked forward to buying a new one she could live in on her own:

I want things a certain way when I think it’s the right time. So I’m ready. I want to own my home.

This isn’t to say that Ariana is single, however. In fact, she’s since moved on with a new man since her split from Tom. She met her now-boyfriend, Daniel Wai, in March 2023 while attending a friend’s wedding in Mexico. Their new romance sparked not long after the news of Tom’s cheating broke out.

Things with Daniel, a personal trainer based in New York, seem to be stronger than ever. Ariana previously reported that her relationship with Daniel was the healthiest she’d ever been in, even calling him “everything I’ve ever wanted without even knowing that that’s what I wanted.” Currently, the two are in a long-distance relationship.
