Ian Jackson, Joson Sanon shining in St. John's win could be March game-changer

Saturday night was a memorable one for St. John’s, clinching a narrow victory at Villanova. This marked only their second single-digit win of the season. The team shone brightly, particularly in how they managed the Wildcats’ late surge and exhibited strong interior play with their trio of forwards: Zuby Ejiofor, Bryce Hopkins, and Dillon Mitchell.

Yet, the standout moment was the stellar performance of Ian Jackson and Joson Sanon, elevating the Red Storm to their most significant triumph of the year.

These sophomore sensations arrived in Queens with much fanfare, touted as future NBA stars expected to make an immediate impact before potentially moving on after just one college season.

However, the journey has been challenging. Both Jackson and Sanon have faced their share of obstacles, especially on defense. While Jackson initially began the season on the bench, it is now Sanon who finds himself in that position.
