A troubling video involving former Disney star Matt Prokop has surfaced, allegedly showing him aggressively handling his ex-fiancée. This footage comes to light just weeks after Prokop, known for his role in ‘High School Musical 3,’ was arrested in December on charges of possessing child pornography and resisting arrest.

The video, obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail, captures what appears to be a distressing incident at a residence in Victoria, Texas. The footage shows Prokop, 35, forcefully lifting and pushing his ex-fiancée, Lucy, 24, out of the house around 10:35 a.m. on May 18, 2024.

In the video, Lucy’s voice can be heard expressing distress with cries of “Oh no,” as she seemingly struggles against Prokop’s actions. Meanwhile, a small white dog barks from the couch, adding to the chaotic scene.

Sources reveal to the Daily Mail that this harrowing footage is unrelated to Prokop’s recent legal troubles. However, it was reportedly recorded just a day after an alarming incident where Prokop allegedly threatened Lucy with a hammer.

According to a police report filed on May 18, 2024, Prokop allegedly grabbed a hammer from the kitchen table and threatened Lucy by saying, “I will smash your skull in,” before pushing her into objects, causing her pain.

One source, who has exclusively spoken with the Daily Mail, claimed the incident occurred in front of several eyewitnesses.

‘His friends and Lucy’s friends all saw him throw Lucy to the ground, shove her around and then when they saw the hammer come up, that’s when they had enough,’ the insider said.

The Daily Mail is told that Lucy had decided to stay with Prokop the night of the alleged hammer threat in the hopes that he would calm down by the morning.

However, when he awoke, he was allegedly still in a rage, as seen in the video. When they went to a nearby shop later that day, Lucy told a staffer she had been assaulted and the police were called.

Per the police report, Lucy was also upset because ‘she found out that he slept with someone else’ and had started packing her bags, but Prokop allegedly told her: ‘If you leave, you’re dead.’

Officers noted in their report that they saw photographic evidence of bruising from previous assaults and videos of ‘continuous behavior’ of Prokop ‘threatening’ Lucy.

‘Due to the circumstances and the history that Lucy expressed to officers I believed that Matthew was an imminent threat to Lucy,’ the officer wrote in the report.

While Lucy did not wish to pursue charges, the report states that Prokop was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, unlawful restraint and resisting arrest for refusing to comply with officers.

We’re told that, from jail, Prokop would allegedly call Lucy, repeatedly asking her to pay for ten percent of his $77,000 bail. And, because Lucy felt like the arrest was ‘her fault,’ per our source, she drained her savings to help him.

Prokop was given bond conditions upon his release, including to not contact Lucy again. However, they moved back in together, according to our source.

‘He had convinced Lucy he had changed and that he was going to be better,’ the insider told the Daily Mail. ‘I think she was just in survival mode.’

‘People kept telling her she was in love with his potential, and when he was nice, he was the nicest person,’ the source continued. ‘She stuck around and hoped that that version of him would hopefully come around again.’

Lucy met Prokop online and became romantically involved with him when she was 20 years old. By that point, she had left her life in the UK behind and leaned on him for love and support.

‘She was a fan,’ the source said. ‘He would tell her that he was going to marry her and give her children, and immediately she thought she hit the jackpot.’

Lucy and Prokop got engaged in January 2024 and stayed together after the alleged assault later that year, often traveling between the UK and America.

But even as the relationship progressed, Lucy allegedly became concerned about some of the allegations against Prokop. He dated actress Sarah Hyland from 2009 to 2014, and the year they broke up, she was granted a restraining order against him.

The Modern Family alum, now 35, alleged in court documents at the time that Prokop had choked, pushed and threatened her, and had been abusive to her.

‘His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak,’ she claimed in a filing for the restraining order. ‘I was scared and in fear for my life.’ Prokop never publicly addressed Hyland’s allegations.

‘Lucy tried to give him the benefit of the doubt,’ the insider told the Daily Mail.

‘He can be very convincing and Lucy had no reason to not believe him at the time, but after everything that happened to Sarah happened to her, she realized there’s no way these are lies.’

Hyland’s representatives could not immediately be reached for comment.

But it wasn’t until December 24, 2025, that Lucy hit her breaking point, according to the source, who said she was at her wits end and ‘couldn’t deal with him’ anymore.

It was around this time that Lucy allegedly fled to a nearby hotel, where she told staffers she did not want Prokop to be able to reach her.

According to our source, Lucy found out Prokop had allegedly been sending inappropriate messages to her family overseas, which was the final straw.

She called the police and, when officers arrived at the hotel, they reportedly saw Prokop had been calling Lucy nonstop and arrested him for a bond violation.

The authorities tried taking Prokop into custody at his Victoria, Texas, apartment, but bodycam footage obtained by TMZ showed the actor slamming the door in the officers’ faces and ‘disobeyed orders’ by ‘pulling his arms away and twisting his body.’

The former child star, who appeared disheveled and sporting a beard in his mugshot, received two charges for evading and resisting arrest. He also faces child pornography charges after police discovered he was in possession of apparent child porn and had recorded a victim in the bathroom with a hidden camera without her permission, per a police report obtained by the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Prokop and his representatives for comment.

Prokop was booked at the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office Jail, where he currently remains incarcerated, and his bail amount is listed as $117,500.

We are told Lucy is not going to bail him out.

In an exclusive statement to the Daily Mail, Lucy said earlier this month: ‘Right now, I’m taking time to heal privately, with the support of close friends and family. Taking this time does not lessen the seriousness or harm of his actions.’

She concluded: ‘As more information comes out, I ask that all victims be treated with care, dignity, and respect.’

To top it off, ‘Matt is still harassing Lucy from jail,’ our source claimed. ‘He’s calling her every day and emailing still…it’s hard.’
