Tepe Murders: Accused Stone-faced Killer Surgeon Tormented Former Wife Before Shootings

Michael McKee, a resident of Illinois, is facing charges for allegedly murdering his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, along with her husband, Spencer Tepe. Reports suggest that McKee provided misleading details to dodge being served in a medical malpractice case.

Earlier this month, a jury in Franklin County, Ohio, formally charged McKee with four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary, as reported by a local news outlet.

McKee, who works as a vascular surgeon, stands accused of using an automatic weapon or silencer to kill the couple in their Columbus residence on December 30.

Prior to the tragic incident, McKee was named as a defendant in a medical malpractice lawsuit, which had been filed several months before the murders took place.

According to ABC 6, there were “numerous unsuccessful attempts” to serve McKee with legal papers. The lawsuit claimed he had inadequately trained a physician’s assistant at Las Vegas Surgical Associates LLP in Nevada, where he had previously been employed.

Las Vegas attorney Dan Laird, who filed a lawsuit against the defendant, asserted that McKee provided a fake address for his former employer, and provided “an address that doesn’t exist.”

Laird’s process servicer reportedly noted nine different attempts to serve McKee, while a number provided to the business led to a fax machine.

Jacksonville State University Professor and “Body Bags” host, Joseph Scott Morgan, told FOX News Digital said that he believes that McKee had been showing strong signs of deceptions before carrying out violent crimes.

“Well, for me, from an investigative standpoint, it would seem to imply that there was maybe intent to disguise themselves,” Morgan said.

“Why are you going to deceive them to this level? Unless you’re trying to put people off of a scent. Because look, I mean, with a physical address, you have to think about if there’s going to be a warrant served.

“If there’s going to be any kind of papers that are served from a court, they’re literally going to go to a physical address and track you down.”

McKee is currently awaiting extradition from Illinois to Ohio, where he will be incarcerated in the Franklin County jail.
