This development comes amid a year into the second term of the Trump administration, which has been critiqued for not prioritizing infectious disease management.
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), which serves as the World Health Organization’s (WHO) regional branch for the Americas, has identified January 20, 2025, as the date that marks the beginning of continuous measles transmission in the U.S.
