David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly furious over their son Brooklyn’s explosive claims and are considering cutting off communication with him unless he divorces his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Brooklyn, now 26, took to Instagram Stories on Monday to release a six-page statement where he declared he has no interest in reconciling with his family. He asserted that he’s finally standing up for himself, accusing his parents of having manipulated narratives surrounding their family.

Among his shocking revelations were allegations related to his 2022 wedding in Florida. Brooklyn claimed that his mother, Victoria, aged 51, unexpectedly took over what should have been a romantic first dance between him and Nicola.

This incident reportedly left Brooklyn feeling “more uncomfortable and humiliated” than ever before, as he accused his mother of dancing in a manner he found deeply embarrassing.

The fallout has reportedly left Victoria heartbroken, as she bears the brunt of the family’s ongoing disputes with Brooklyn and Nicola. Meanwhile, the internet buzzes with memes, jokes, and speculation about exactly what Victoria’s dance involved.

And in a new twist, sources claim David and Victoria won’t be giving Brooklyn the time of day ‘if he is still with Nicola’.

‘Despite everything that’s happened, David and Victoria still love their son. He will always be their boy, and there will always be a place for him in their home.

‘They have tried everything in their power to mend their relationship with him and it hasn’t worked. Now it feels like there is no going back while he is still with Nicola’, according to The Sun.

Victoria’s parents Jackie and Tony, as well as David’s Sandra and Ted, are also said to feel heartbroken by Brooklyn’s actions.

The source continued: ‘The grandparents are once again so upset. They feel powerless and don’t know what to do.

‘They love Brooklyn but of course love their own children dearly and see the pain etched on their faces.’

Daily Mail has contacted the Beckham’s and Peltz’s for comment.

The Spice Girls star’s estranged child took to Instagram to denounce his relationship with his ‘performative’ parents and reveal that his mum ‘hijacked his first dance’ and said: ‘I have never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.’

While the newlyweds planned a very romantic performance, Victoria reportedly chose to dance ‘very inappropriately on her son’ in front of their 500 guests.

He penned: ‘My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.

‘In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead’.

He continued: ‘She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment’.

Brooklyn and Nicola wed in April 2022 in a lavish £3.5M wedding at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

They then renewed their wedding vows in August 2025 with Brooklyn’s parents and siblings not invited to the ceremony in New York’s Westchester County.

A wedding guest has also backed up Brooklyn’s claims that Victoria danced ‘inappropriately’ with him at his wedding.

Wedding guest Stavros Agapiou has now spoken out, insisting that they witnessed Victoria’s ‘inappropriate’ dancing.

Agapiou is the partner of British DJ Fat Tony, who was asked to perform at the reception. In an Instagram comment, they wrote: ‘I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth.’

The comment has since been deleted and Stavros instead posted ‘Good on him for finally speaking out!’

Nicola and Brooklyn’s April 2022 wedding was covered by US Vogue, which went into lavish detail about how the wedding party followed American traditions of a mother and son and father and daughter dance.

Vogue say the newlyweds’ first dance was to South African singer Lloyiso’s rendition of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love.

The publication then states that Marc Anthony, a close friend of David and Victoria, took to the stage much later into the reception at 11pm to perform his track I Need To Know.

In his statement, Brooklyn claimed: 'They were adamant on me signing [away trademark] before my wedding date because when the terms of the deal would be initiated' (Nicola pictured on her wedding day)

A source added: 'Before Brooklyn and Nicola were married, Victoria called Brooklyn and said, "Daddy has a very big deal, you need to sign this contract."' (David and Victoria pictured at the wedding)

It was at this point ‘Brooklyn invited his mother on stage for a dance and they were joined by David and their 10-year-old daughter, Harper.’

The claim that Brooklyn ‘invited’ his mother to dance is in direct contrast to his statement that ‘Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.’

Meanwhile, in the wake of the statement, a throwback tweet from Victoria, with images showing her dancing with David with the caption: ‘Never met a dance floor I didn’t like’ resurfaced.

Despite proudly declaring he was a once a ‘mama’s boy’, Brooklyn focused mainly on Victoria in his lengthy statement, with his vitriolic comments leaving her ‘on the floor in pieces’.

While recollections seem to vary on what exactly happened on his wedding day, Brooklyn also made a point of claiming that his parents ‘attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.’

Daily Mail revealed that it’s Victoria who solely owns the trademark to Brooklyn Beckham’s name – which is set to expire this year.

On Monday, the eldest Beckham son, 26, launched an extraordinary online attack on his parents, accusing David, 50, and Victoria, 51, of trying to 'ruin' his marriage

On Monday, the eldest Beckham son, 26, launched an extraordinary online attack on his parents, accusing David, 50, and Victoria, 51, of trying to ‘ruin’ his marriage

Documents lodged with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office show that in December 2016, Victoria took out the trademark in her son’s name, but when that expires in December of this year Brooklyn will be free to renew using his own legal team.

The trademark covers classes of goods including cosmetics and aftershaves, clothes, shoes, sportswear, hats, toys, TV shows and music.

Posh also took out trademarks in the names of her three other children.

In his statement, Brooklyn claimed: ‘They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because when the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.’

A source added to Page Six: ‘Before Brooklyn and Nicola were married, Victoria called Brooklyn and said, “Daddy has a very big deal, you need to sign this contract.”‘

An industry insider, however, said the deal with Authentic Brands Group was tied to David selling a majority stake in his brand management company, DB Ventures, for $269 million in 2022, and meant nothing negative for Brooklyn.

‘The agreement that Brooklyn was asked to sign was to protect his rights because his parents have commercial partners who have some rights over the Beckham name, and so it ensures that the kids are carved out of that, of course,’ said a Beckham insider at the time.

‘It’s entirely standard and is to protect the family. Brooklyn chose not to sign the agreement, but it makes no difference, as of course no one would ever restrict his rights.

‘Sadly, by then, Brooklyn had gotten rid of all his own advisers and was only listening to the Peltz lawyers who perhaps either didn’t understand the agreement or were being deliberately obstructive.’

PR agent and Brand expert Mark Borkowski told Daily Mail that Brooklyn’s blistering attack will undoubtedly have had an effect on ‘Brand Beckham’, which was built on ‘unity, warmth and professionalism’.

Mark explained: ‘This will be an existential crisis for the Beckhams. Even before with all the reports of the feud they made sure they were promoting the family by posting about Cruz’s music gig.

‘The problem is the Peltz’s are significant and ruthless businesspeople and they’ll be pretty good at exploiting Brooklyn if he wants to do something.

‘Now they can take an element of his brand and build on it – the same way Prince Harry did using his Windsor label with Meghan Markle.

‘Brooklyn is now in bed with one of the most powerful businessman in New York and America is a much bigger market for him.

‘As for the Peltz family, well they wouldn’t want a rogue Beckham brand flying around that they didn’t have control of. They’re a successful family and they’d be looking at their son-in-law thinking “how can we create something with the Peltz brand”.

‘It’s a horrible family soap opera for the Beckhams and how they recover from this will be an ongoing conversation for sure.’
