ORLANDO, Fla. – The enchanting world of Harry Potter is casting its spell over an Orlando stage, as the acclaimed play makes its first-ever appearance in Florida, marking the state’s exclusive stop on its tour.
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” brings audiences into the life of Harry Potter’s determined son, Albus. As Harry navigates his responsibilities at the Ministry of Magic, Albus embarks on his own journey at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Tensions arise when Albus is sorted into a different Hogwarts house than his father, leading him to form an unexpected friendship with Scorpius Malfoy, the son of Harry’s old rival, Draco. This divergence sets off a series of events that prompt Albus to tamper with time, inadvertently reshaping the future and causing unforeseen consequences.
The production promises a thrilling journey through time, filled with spells, dramatic battles, and the kind of theatrical magic that has captivated audiences worldwide.
Since its debut in London’s West End in the summer of 2016, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” has enchanted theatergoers, eventually taking Broadway by storm in 2018. That year, it earned six Tony Awards, including the prestigious Best Play accolade.
The show is running inside Walt Disney Theater at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Jan. 24 – Feb. 15.
