BRUNSWICK, Ga. — A suspect has been apprehended following a stabbing incident that occurred in a Brunswick residence early Monday morning, as reported by the Glynn County Police Department.
Grace Freeman, 33, is formally charged with aggravated assault (family violence), using a knife in the commission of a crime, false imprisonment, and battery (family violence), authorities have confirmed.
According to the Glynn County Police Department, officers were dispatched to a stabbing incident on Dusty Lane at around 12:49 a.m. on Monday.
Upon arrival, police discovered the victim with a single stab wound and found Freeman at the scene, the department stated.
Members of Glynn County Fire Rescue then responded to the scene, police said, and rendered aid and transported the victim to the Southeast Georgia Health System-Brunswick Campus.
Meanwhile, Freeman was taken to the Glynn County Police Department’s headquarters for questioning. During this time, a search warrant was obtained for the home to “process the scene and for the recovery evidence,” police said.
