Charmaine Bey has announced that she and her husband, Neek Bey, are joyfully anticipating the arrival of their third child.
The popular former star of “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” took to social media this week to share her exciting news, while also shedding light on her challenging fertility journey.
“This is my testimony. After being diagnosed with Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) and experiencing irregular cycles for years, I was advised just last month to consider donor eggs if I wanted another child. That conversation shattered me,” she candidly shared on Instagram.
Expanding on her POI diagnosis, Charmaine offered further insights in a follow-up post on Facebook. She disclosed that her AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) and FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) levels, both crucial for evaluating ovarian health, were alarmingly low.
“My AMH was 0.08 and my FSH was 35, which are indicative of menopause. They term it Primary Ovarian Insufficiency when a woman’s ovaries cease functioning properly before the age of 50,” she explained.
Around the same time, the 35-year-old said she began testing Fertilitea, a fertility tea created by her family.
“While drinking the tea, my period returned. Then I ovulated. And now… I’m pregnant,” she shared.

“POI does not mean zero eggs,” Charmaine added. “It means inconsistent ovulation. Some cycles are stronger than others — and this one was mine.”
She also explained why she chose to speak publicly about her experience.
“Everyone’s body and journey are different, but I’m sharing this because I was told to give up… and I didn’t,” she wrote.

While Charmaine said she remains optimistic, she noted that she is being closely monitored.
“We’ll continue to monitor and confirm a healthy heartbeat at our upcoming appointment,” she wrote. “I’m grateful, hopeful, and taking this one day at a time.”
Charmaine and Neek are already parents to two daughters, Nola Glenda Bey, born in March 2020, and Charli Bey, born in February 2022.
