In a significant acknowledgment of educational excellence, Kevin Farrell, a dedicated school psychologist within the Champaign School District, has been honored as the Illinois School Psychologists Association (ISPA) Practitioner of the Year. This accolade is widely regarded as the highest recognition for school psychologists working in Illinois.
Farrell’s nomination was spearheaded by Daniel Nock, the principal at Carrie Busey Elementary School, alongside Jacquelyn Teague, the Special Education Administrator for Unit 4. Both recognized Farrell’s exceptional contributions to the field, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to enhancing both the academic and mental well-being of students throughout the district. According to a news release from the Champaign School District, the ISPA award seeks to identify and honor the most outstanding school psychologist in the state.
