In a concerning incident in Minneapolis, federal authorities have reported that a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) K-9 was the subject of a targeted act. The situation unfolded when an employee at a local kennel allegedly inscribed “ICE OUT” on the dog’s feeding chart.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has raised alarms, indicating that anti-ICE activists in Minneapolis appear to be focusing their efforts on CBP K-9 units, including a dog named Dina.

“At the kennel where K-9 Dina was being housed, it was discovered that an employee had penned ‘ICE OUT’ on her feed chart,” DHS shared in a statement on social media. The post emphatically noted, “THEY’RE EVEN GOING AFTER THE DOGS!”

As of now, details regarding the specific kennel involved and the employment status of the individual accused of this action remain undisclosed.

It is unclear which kennel Dina was staying at or the current employment status of the employee allegedly responsible. 

Tensions flared in the blue city after 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot Jan. 7 by an ICE agent while allegedly blocking an operation in Minneapolis and driving toward an agent.

Amid escalating protests, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety announced Saturday that, at Gov. Tim Walz’s direction, the state’s National Guard was mobilized and staging to support local law enforcement and emergency management agencies.

Guardsmen have not yet been deployed to city streets but are ready to help support public safety, according to state officials.
