In Clay County, a routine call for service on Foxtail Avenue took a dangerous turn when deputies found themselves under attack by several dogs. The incident occurred in Middleburg, Florida, as reported by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday evening, two deputies were unexpectedly ambushed by a pack of dogs while responding to the call. Although the sheriff’s office has not specified exactly how many dogs were involved, the altercation was serious enough to necessitate hospital visits for both officers.
One deputy sustained significant injuries, though fortunately, they were not life-threatening. The second deputy suffered only minor injuries and is expected to recover swiftly.
