(KTLA) — Authorities have confirmed that a man discovered deceased earlier this week near a homeless encampment in Willowbrook, Los Angeles, is former NFL player Kevin Johnson, as reported by various sources.

Johnson’s body was located early Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of East 120th Street, which has led to the initiation of a homicide investigation.

Law enforcement officials searched the encampment, which sits adjacent to an overpass.
