EXCLUSIVE TO FOX: This week, federal agents descended on the streets of Minnesota, and Fox News Digital has obtained fresh details about some of the most dangerous criminal illegal immigrants apprehended within the past day. The list includes individuals convicted of crimes such as pedophilia, sexual assault, and drug trafficking.

The new insights follow a Friday news conference where Greg Bovino, the Border Patrol chief, addressed the media in Minneapolis. He highlighted the significance of recent immigration enforcement operations carried out by the agents in the area.

Alongside the arrests of two criminal illegal immigrants, which were a focal point of the news conference in the traditionally liberal city, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials informed Fox News Digital of additional arrests made on Thursday during Operation Metro Surge. These individuals have previous convictions for offenses like child sex crimes, domestic violence, and drug trafficking.

Federal law enforcement at a gas station in Minnesota

During ongoing immigration enforcement efforts, a federal agent from Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino’s team was seen at a gas station stop. This comes in the wake of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent’s fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good on January 7 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as captured by Seth Herald for Reuters on January 21, 2026.

“DHS law enforcement remains committed to removing violent criminal illegal aliens from Minnesota streets. Just yesterday, they arrested individuals including pedophiles, sexual predators, and drug traffickers,” stated DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Many of these threats to public safety were previously released from Minnesota jails.”

McLaughlin added DHS is calling on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to honor Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers on the more than 1,360 illegal immigrants in Minnesota jails.

“Despite horrific smears and violent assaults against them, our officers continue to put their lives on the line to arrest the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,” she said.
