In a dramatic twist to what seemed like a fairy-tale ending, Jenn Tran and Devin Strader, stars from season 21 of The Bachelorette, have officially parted ways. The finale appeared to promise a bright future for the couple, with Jenn choosing Devin as her final pick. However, the story took a different turn soon after the cameras were off.
Jenn opened up about the unexpected breakup during an episode of After the Final Rose last September. Speaking with host Jesse Palmer, she shared her disappointment: “He was making bold proclamations of love and then suddenly the next day he was like, nothing and he denied ever being in love,” Jenn recounted. “All the promises he had made to me, all of the love that he had wanted to give to me wasn’t there anymore.”
Adding another layer to the unfolding drama, Devin responded by posting a 13-minute video on Instagram. In it, he offered his perspective on the breakup, taking “accountability” for his actions and explaining why he decided to end the relationship through a brief 15-minute phone call.
The split between Jenn and Devin adds to the ever-growing list of reality TV relationships that couldn’t withstand the pressures off-screen, leaving fans and followers to speculate on what truly went wrong.
Drama continued to play out when Devin shared a 13-minute video recounting his side of the story to Instagram, where in addition to taking “accountability” he shared insight into why he ended the relationship in a 15-minute phone call.
While Jenn alleged he dumped her during the call in August, he claimed that Jenn demanded to know what was wrong as he tried to find a way to break the news in person.
“I didn’t really know what else to do,” he explained, noting he had been waiting to tell her in person. “She kind of forced my hand.”
After that, Jenn waltzed over to Dancing With the Stars and into the heart of her partner Sasha Farber. The duo continued to dance together even after their October 2024 elimination, but split in 2025.
