On Friday, U.S. military forces conducted a lethal strike on a vessel believed to be operated by a recognized terrorist group, resulting in the deaths of two individuals suspected of being narco-terrorists.
The U.S. Southern Command reported that intelligence had confirmed the vessel’s movement along well-known drug trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific, where it was actively participating in narcotics smuggling activities.
Following the strike, USSOUTHCOM initiated a search-and-rescue mission to locate a third suspect who reportedly survived the attack.
