The anticipation surrounding the Academy Awards is palpable, and AMC Theatres is stepping up to feed the excitement with their annual “Best Picture Showcase.” This event offers film enthusiasts the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of cinema by viewing all the Best Picture nominees on the big screen.

Sponsored by A24’s acclaimed film “Mother Mary,” AMC is organizing these movie marathons over two action-packed days. It’s an invitation for movie lovers to experience the diverse storytelling and artistic brilliance of this year’s top contenders in a theatrical setting.

(KTLA) — The Academy Award nominations are out, and if you’re hoping to see the Best Picture nominees, AMC Theatres can help you with that.

The theater chain is putting on an AMC “Best Picture Showcase” sponsored by A24’s “Mother Mary,” so you can catch them all on the big screen. These are marathon movie-style events spread out over two days.

Day one starts on March 7 with Clint Bentley’s “Train Dreams” and ends with Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein.” Day two is March 14 and starts with Joachim Trier’s “Sentimental Value” and ends with Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Bugonia.”

Tickets are on sale now on AMC Theatres.

Several of this year’s Best Picture nominees were named among KTLA’s 10 best films of 2025, including the Norwegian family drama, “Sentimental Value;” Brazilian political thriller “The Secret Agent;” Paul Thomas Anderson’s comedy thriller “One Battle After Another;” and sports comedy-drama “Marty Supreme.”

“Bugonia” also received an honorable mention, with critic Russell Falcon praising the black comedy’s unexpected twists, in addition to stand-out performances by two-time Academy Award winner Emma Stone and Oscar nominee Jesse Plemons.

The 98th Academy Awards will be held March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The ceremony will air on ABC and stream live on Hulu.
