Alix Earle, widely recognized as a podcast host who transitioned into a social media influencer, has significantly broadened her television portfolio. Her latest venture saw her competing in the 34th season of the popular reality show, Dancing With The Stars, where she showcased her dancing skills.
Alix concluded the competition as the runner-up, securing second place alongside her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy. Despite delivering a flawless final performance that earned them a perfect score, they narrowly missed out on the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. The top honors went to Robert Irwin and Witney Carson. With her stint on DWTS now concluded, Alix is eagerly looking forward to her next television endeavor.
Recently, exciting news emerged about Alix’s forthcoming TV project, revealing that she will headline her own series. In a joint announcement with streaming giant Netflix, it was disclosed that the show will focus on Alix and her close circle, promising an intriguing new chapter in her career.
Alix And Her Family Will Star In A Reality Show
The big news of Alix’s next TV project broke this week, and apparently she’s going to be the star of her own series. She and streamer Netflix released a joint announcement revealing that she and those closest to her would be the center of the new project:
From your FYP to your TV: Alix Earle, her family, and friends will star in an unscripted series dropping later this year on Netflix.
In a teaser video for the new series, Alix can be seen exiting the Netflix offices, on a phone call with her father, telling him that, despite the change in their personal privacy, things are going to turn out alright.
As Alix struts away from the building, she teases him even more:
Dad, it’s gonna be fun! It’s gonna be fine. What’s the worst that can happen?
Details Of The Show Are Still TBD
While not much is known about the series just yet, it’s understood that the focus of the show will be on Alix and her blended family. Those who are familiar with the influencer already may know that she has a sister named Ashtin who also works as a successful influencer. The premise of the show is stated to be a documentation of “the real-time messiness of a young woman in transition,” per the press release.
While Alix is used to being the one to document her own life via social media, this will mark the first time she’s handing over the reins to a third party. She shared that the shift was a little daunting, even for her.
“I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a little scary. I’m so used to being in control of what I share and what I keep private, so having cameras around in moments I normally wouldn’t post is definitely an adjustment,” she noted. That said, she had faith that her audience would continue to back her as she stepped into this next chapter of her career—and that it was a comfort knowing her family would be there by her side, too.
“My family is everything. I love how they support me, give me confidence, but they also keep me humble,” Alix explained. “We’re all each other’s best friends. My favorite group chat is probably the one with my whole family that we’re texting in all day. It’s a really beautiful thing that my family’s been able to grow just so close, all of us together. It’s been fun to be best friends with them,” she added.
