1 killed, 3 injured in single-car crash in Morgan Co.

Tragedy struck in Morgan County, Illinois, on Friday evening when a single-vehicle accident resulted in the death of one individual and injuries to three others. The heartbreaking event unfolded around 6 p.m. at the crossroads of Mt. Zion Road and Gravel Springs Road.

According to an announcement made by the Morgan County Coroner’s Office via Facebook early Saturday morning, the vehicle, traveling eastward, veered off the road and overturned. In the chaos, a backseat passenger was thrown from the car and succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until their family is informed.
