A close acquaintance of singer D4vd, identified as Neo Langston, has been taken into custody for neglecting to appear as a witness, as per court documents.
Langston, a 23-year-old well-known streamer and reportedly a friend of David Anthony Burke, also known as D4vd, was apprehended in Montana on Thursday, according to a report by TMZ.
The arrest was the result of a collaborative operation between the Helena Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department.
While officials have not confirmed a link between Langston’s arrest and the investigation into the death of Burke’s alleged underage girlfriend, Celeste Rivas, the San Francisco Chronicle notes that the incident is connected to a “Los Angeles homicide investigation.”
Langston appeared in a Montana court on Friday and was subsequently transferred to the LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center. He is currently being held on a $60,000 bond.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Los Angeles police found Celeste’s remains on September 8, inside the trunk of Burke’s Tesla.
The vehicle had initially been parked near his former Hollywood Hills rental home, in the Bird Streets neighborhood. Police later found the vehicle at a tow yard in Hollywood, after residents contacted police about an abandoned car with a Texas license plate on September 6.
Celeste’s remains were found a day shy of her 15th birthday. Police are treated the case as a homicide.
