In a jaw-dropping reveal on Saturday’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” both viewers and judges were taken by surprise when Kate Nash and Anton Du Beke unveiled their identities as Monkey Business and Arctic Fox, respectively.

The episode featured an array of performances from contestants cleverly concealed under the disguises of Toastie, Red Panda, Monkey Business, Fox, Can of Worms, Conkers, Moth, and Sloth, each delivering captivating renditions in hopes of remaining anonymous.

Singing before a panel of judges that included Maya Jama, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, and guest judge Perrie Edwards, both Nash and Du Beke gave what would be their final performances on the show.

Kate Nash, known for her hit song “Foundations,” delivered a stirring performance of “As Long As He Needs Me” from the musical “Oliver.” Her clues, including references to coffee, pointed towards her roles in the films “Coffee Wars” and “Syrup,” while a clapperboard reading ‘Take 615’ hinted at her last name by alluding to Nashville’s area code.

While ‘Take 615’ was written on a clapperboard, which is the area code for Nashville – a hint at the singer’s last name.

And at one point she said there are ‘a lot of rivals in this business’, which was a was a nod to Rivals actor Danny Dyer appearing in her Wasteman music video.

Her reveal left the panel and viewers in shock as they guessed Lily Allen, Kimberly Wyatt, or Shona McGarty may have been behind the mask.

Kate said: ‘Talking to the team, everyone who works here is so nice. And allowing myself to do something that was just about having fun and entertainment because I’ve been doing a lot of touring, and I’ve been pretty political.

‘So it was nice to just kind of have a laugh, sing some songs, and enjoy the performance and music. I’m not interested in a person if they haven’t got a silly billy inside them.’

Also unmasked was Strictly judge and icon Anton, who performed Barbra Streisand’s Woman in Love.

He used seven acorns as clues, as the star is from Sevenoaks, Kent.

Flour bags were also a reference to him being a baker when he was younger – and  being the ‘bottom of success’ was a node to when he was voted Rear of the Year.

He said: ‘I am so glad you thought it was a drag queen because I was giving it the full RuPaul bifta.

‘I was clenching and releasing every second, I don’t know how I’m going to go back.’

The TV personality also said it felt ‘very natural’ to prance around in Arctic Fox’s boots, quipping: ‘This isn’t my first rodeo,’ in a nod to his Strictly career.

Maya, 31, looked incredible in a white floor length dress with a fishtail finish and gold floral pattern as the outfit showed off her stunning silhouette.

Meanwhile Davina, 58, turned heads in a high neck hot pink mini dress with an open front and matching heels.

Jonathan matched his co star in a bright pink jacket and Mo looked very dapper in a navy and black tuxedo.

While guest judge Perrie looked incredible in a pink and white multicoloured sequin mini dress – who was pregnant at the time of filming but last week welcomed her second baby with footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade.

Last week viewers and judges were left stunned as legendary 90s pop star Shakespears Sister singer Marcella Detroit was unmasked as Gargoyle.

After some very entertaining performances, it was sadly Sloth and Gargoyle who landed themselves in the bottom two.

Fighting for their place in the competition, Sloth performed a version of the 1979 song Flash Bang Wallop by Tommy Steele while Gargoyle gave their take on Bad Reputation by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Sadly it was Gargoyle who was sent home, with the judges guessing it could be Cindy Lauper, Joan Jett, Wendy James, Ruby Wax, or Fiona Bruce.

But they were all wrong, with Gargoyle finally being unmasked as Marcella.

The week before John Lydon was revealed as Yak.

Monkey Business and Yak faced off in a sing-off in front of the panellists, however Yak failed to secure enough votes to remain in the competition and was ultimately eliminated by the judges after performing Olivia Newton-John’s 80s hit Physical.

And prior to that week Matt Lucas was revealed to be Emperor Penguin on Sunday night’s show.

The comedian, 51, impressed fans with his vocal chords during his performance with a band, before joining the judging panel as a guest.

And it was a double unmasking after Teabag was voted out and was revealed to be rapper Professor Green, 42.
