In an unexpected turn, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made an appearance at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, shortly after Prince Harry delivered an emotional testimony in his UK tabloid lawsuit.
The royal couple was there to attend the premiere of their new documentary, “Cookie Queens,” which took place in Park City, Utah, on Saturday.
During the event, they were seen posing for photographs alongside actress Amy Redford, festival director Eugene Hernandez, and the film’s director, Alysa Nahmias.
Prince Harry opted for a laid-back look, donning a puffer jacket paired with green trousers and brown boots.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle exuded elegance in a black knit sweater and flared black jeans by Mother. Her dark hair was styled straight with a sleek middle part.
Markle, 44, and Harry, 41, serve as executive producers for the forthcoming doc, which follows the lives of four Girl Scouts during cookie season.
The film hits home for the mom of two as she was a Girl Scout growing up in California while her mother, Doria Ragland, served as Markle’s troop leader.
The “Suits” alum also took a moment to meet the Girl Scouts who were featured in the doc. At one point, Markle hugged the girls and chatted with them and their parents.
The Sussexes’ outing came days after Harry took the stand at the High Court in London to emotionally testify during his trial against a UK tabloid publisher.
On Wednesday, the Invitus Games founder claimed his wife’s life as a royal was “absolute misery” due to the allegedly invasive press.
“It’s fundamentally wrong to put us through this again when all we wanted was an apology and accountability. It’s a horrible experience,” the dad of two testified, fighting back tears.
“They continue to come after me. They have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord,” he added.
Following Harry’s testimony, his rep told Page Six, “Today’s cross-examination was revealing in its weakness: assertive in tone, but collapsing immediately under scrutiny from Prince Harry.
“Associated couldn’t wait to get him off the stand, questioning him for just two hours and avoiding 10 of his 14 articles entirely.”
The “Spare” author added in his own brief statement to us, “Today we reminded the Mail Group who is on trial and why.”
Harry and Markle quit the royal family and moved to North America in 2020. The couple now lives in a $14 million home in Montecito, Calif., with their kids, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
