Family movie nights are about to get a lot more exciting with the return of some beloved animated characters. Walt Disney Animation Studios is set to release “Zootopia 2,” which will be available digitally on January 27 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 3. This release promises to include a treasure trove of bonus features, such as behind-the-scenes footage and deleted scenes, sure to delight fans both young and old.
Among the exclusive content is a deleted scene titled “Where Are They Now?” which was shared exclusively with On The Red Carpet. This scene was originally conceived as an alternate opening where our favorite duo, Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) and Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin), attempt to apprehend a smuggler at the airport. Although the final cut of the film features this sequence at the docks instead, the deleted scene offers a fascinating glimpse into the animation process and creative decision-making.
The sequel, “Zootopia 2,” picks up with Nick and Judy embarking on a brand-new adventure. This time, the dynamic duo is on the case of a slippery character, Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan. To solve the mystery, they must go undercover, exploring uncharted areas of their bustling animal city. Their journey promises to test the limits of their partnership like never before.
During its theatrical release, “Zootopia 2” broke numerous records, amassing a staggering $1.7 billion at the global box office. It now stands as the ninth highest-grossing film of all time and holds the crown as the top-grossing animated film in history. Such achievements underscore the immense popularity and enduring appeal of this vibrant world and its charming characters.

The Original Soundtrack for “Zootopia 2” features the single, “Zoo,” performed by Shakira, which has garnered over 500 million global streams to date. The soundtrack, with a score composed by Michael Giacchino, is available on all streaming platforms.
