A young man from South Carolina is now facing serious charges after his grandparents were discovered dead in their Westminster residence earlier this month.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of 19-year-old Levi Kevin Jones late Friday night. He stands accused of two counts of murder and two counts of possessing a weapon during a violent crime.
The tragic discovery was made on January 15 when a relative found the bodies of 76-year-old Larry Moore and his 75-year-old wife, Sandra Moore, at their home on Cromer Moore Road.

According to the arrest warrants, investigators revealed that Larry Moore had been stabbed multiple times, while Sandra Moore’s death was attributed to strangulation.
Authorities allege that Jones employed a knife in carrying out these horrific acts.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) assisted investigators in processing evidence. Authorities have remained in contact with the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office and the Moore family.
A magistrate judge denied Jones’s bond during Saturday’s proceedings. His next scheduled court date is March 12, according to FOX Carolina.
Jones remains behind bars in the Oconee County Detention Center.
