Firefighters battle early morning fire in Arthur, rescue 2 cats

ARTHUR, Ill. (WCIA) — In a dramatic rescue on Sunday morning, firefighters in Arthur successfully saved two cats from a blaze at a local residence.

According to Fire Chief Chris Helton, the incident occurred near the intersection of Union and Logan Streets at approximately 7:45 a.m. Upon arrival, the firefighting team encountered significant smoke and flames emanating from the structure.
