In a recent development, the artist now known as Ye, originally Kanye West, has extended an apology for his previously controversial statements about Jewish people.

In a detailed message published as an advertisement in the Wall Street Journal, Ye attributed his past “poor judgment and reckless behavior” to an undiagnosed brain injury and ongoing mental health struggles.

“A car accident 25 years ago broke my jaw and damaged the right frontal lobe of my brain,” Ye explained. “Initially, the focus was on the visible injuries—fractures, swelling, and immediate physical trauma. However, the more significant injury inside my skull went unnoticed.”
